Background information:

Our age: 16 - 18 years

We are a class of 26 pupils,8 boys and 18 girls.

When evaluating the questions we made no difference between boys and girls because the group is very small and we found out that there were no considerable differences.

 

 

1. How much water do you use on average

Use this information:
to take a shower so that you wash your hair 250 litres
to take a shower for about 2 - 3 minutes 80 litres
to flush down the toilet 4 - 5 litres
to cook warm meal 4 - 5 litres
to use a washing machine  ( 60° C ) 150 litres
Purifying and heating the water takes energy !

2) How many things and clothes do you buy in a period of two weeks which are not really essential to stay alive?

3.How much money do you spend in a period of two weeks for your

We have a recycling system in town. All materials except clothes are collected separately and the refuse collection pick them up two times a month.

 

 

6. Estimate how much packing material you get with the goods you and your family buy in two weeks. Do not crumple up the packages !

negative arguments: positive arguments:
 
  • there are not enough litter boxes
  • people are too lazy to put their rubbish into a litter box

  • the trash haulers take away the rubbish every week
